Effective Date: 26 May 2026
Demux is a personal project operated by Vladislav Toder, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Demux at demuxapp.com. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR), Vladislav Toder is the data controller for the personal data described below.
You can create an account using email and password, or by signing in with your Google or Apple account.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Demux receives only your Google account email address and basic profile information (such as your name), through Google Sign-In via our authentication provider. We use this solely to create and secure your account and to identify you when you log in.
Demux does not request or access your Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service or data, and we do not use any sensitive or restricted Google API scopes. Demux's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose other than the sign-in feature described above.
Calendar import in Demux works only from iCal/.ics URLs or files that you provide yourself; it does not connect to Google Calendar.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with third-party service providers ("processors") that help us operate Demux, and only to the extent necessary to run the Service:
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Some of our processors may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved data transfer mechanisms) to protect your information.
Your data is stored on trusted cloud infrastructure and protected with industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep your account data and user content for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account (which you can do at any time from within Demux), we delete your account and associated personal data, although limited information may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten, or may be retained where we are legally required to keep it. Technical and error logs are kept only for a limited period needed for security and debugging.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, restrict or object to certain processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can access, update, or delete your account and its data at any time from within Demux, or contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you have concerns about how we handle your data.
Demux uses strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service (for example, session/authentication tokens and Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection). These do not require consent. We use Sentry for error monitoring to diagnose technical problems, not to track you for advertising, and we do not use advertising cookies. If we introduce any non-essential cookies or analytics in future, we will ask for your consent where required and let you manage your choices.
Demux is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
